You must fill in a valid user id and password before  trying
to  connect  to a server.  These will be sent after we get a
connection to the server. 

Note that the password isn't shown on the screen.  There  is
currently  no  way  to save it, though the password that you
type will be remembered as long as this instance of MailTest
is running.
