Sent to the group at 2020-08=10 10:41 PM EDT -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- John Chambers to RJ@groups.io So yesterday's session sorta got messed up by the goofiness of this email system, or my not knowing how to use it right, or whatever. So this is another try. A couple of people have already told me they'd like to try again this next weekend (8/15 or 8/16), but they didn't give me suggestions for the best time. The weather forecast isn't as hot, around 80F both days, with about a 40% chance of rain. But we know how accurate forecasts are for more than 2 days in the future. One approach would to be to play for Saturday afternoon, with Sunday as a rain date. Afternoon is probably best, and we could plan on a 2-hour slot, 1-3, 2-4, or 3-5. So if you think it sounds like fun, let me know what time(s) would be best for you. We should all plan to bring our music books and a music stand (and a mask, of course;-). I've thought it might be fun to play through some of the earlier pages, which we haven't done much lately. But everyone should be prepared with a few suggestions. Also, a reminder of the zoom session Tuesday evening that Michael is again leading. I expect we'll see a note about that tomorrow some time. And I hope this message doesn't get confused with it, as seems to have been part of the problem with my earlier messages about last weekend.I haven't referenced any earlier message this time (that I know of), and I even got a prompt for a Subject this time, so maybe it'll go better. One odd thing is that the software added "Calendar" to the email address at the top; I didn't type it. (And has anyone looked into any of the other tools that are appearing to handle online "gatherings"? It'd be interesting to know something about them.) So now maybe I can see just what happens with this message ...
