N:This is also called "Seamus Connolly's" (e.g. on Kathleeen Collins'
recording) but it was not composed by him. When I asked Seamus about
this a few years ago, he wasn't sure who composed it, but he thought
he got it from a tape made by the late NY fiddler Paddy Reynolds. The
ultimate source of the tune remains unknown. But see note to 38214 -
maybe a solution to the mystery?
