T:BOYS OF BLUE HILL (hornpipe), The
Z:ABC/arr. BB
N:This and "Harvest Home" are the two 'Hornpipes Supreme' in ITM, usually among
N:the first tunes anyone learns to play. O'Neill got the original version of this and several other
N:tunes from a fiddler named West, who unfortunately did not remain long in the Chicago area
N:area (for reasons the Chief - ever the soul of discretion - only hints at). In any case Mr. West
N: disappeared from the Windy City one dark night and evidently was never heard of again . . .
N:but he left behind some great tunes!
